February 2 Deadline Set for Letters
Of Interest for Reedy Church Vacancy
The Board of Supervisors at its January 25 meeting set a February 2 deadline to receive letters of interest for the vacant supervisor’s seat from the Reedy Church District.
The vacancy was created upon the resignation of Maxie Rozell at the January 18 BOS meeting. Since that time, six qualified residents of the Reedy Church District have submitted letters of interest. They include Reggie Underwood, Geoffrey Honan, Jamey Lewchanin, George Howard, Andy Andrews and Demetrice Toliver.
The BOS continued its January 25 meeting to February 2 to further discussion on the vacancy. Letters of interest should be sent by 5 p.m. on February 2 to the County Administrator’s office.
The BOS must fill the vacancy in 45 days from the January 18 date of Rozell’s resignation. Failure to reach a decision will send the matter to the Circuit Court.
