All of our programs have set deadlines to allow us ample time to plan. Please help us by registering by the deadline. Late registrations are accepted only when there are openings. We reserve the right to cancel a program if numbers are not sufficient. We reserve the right to establish minimum and maximum enrollments for programs. | In order for us to be successful in making this a healthier and more delightful Community, we believe it is essential that we take a collaborative approach. This approach consist of you assisting the department in promoting and encouraging others to take advantage of the services that are provided on this calendar. Our department, especially in the youth activities relies heavy on volunteers. This is for the purpose of: making a friendlier environment; assisting in the growth and development of the children of this community; displaying benevolence. We welcome all volunteer help in assisting with our growing programs. If you have special skills in fitness, coaching, officiating, health & wellness, dance, etc. that you would like to share, please call the Department of Parks & Recreation at (804) 633-7277. |

| Our department shares facilities with the public schools and must cancel programs when facilities are not available. Locations, dates and times of programs may sometimes change to avoid conflicts with scheduled school events. All-Sports Camp ![]() Description: The camp is designed to give boys and girls the opportunity to develop self esteem, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and confidence, in the following sports: basketball, kickball, and t-ball; all in one week. Ages: 3 – 5 yrs. old |
Parent and ME T-Tot Ball ![]() Description: Parent and Me” is an introductory t-ball clinic for toddlers that requires parental support in the development and teaching of the game. This program is a great opportunity for toddlers to gain the understanding and fundamentals of t-ball. Participants will be taught the basics of hitting, throwing, catching, and fielding through fun filled drills. You and your child will participate in fun, age appropriate motor and socialization skills. Ages: 2 ½-4 yrs. old (boys and girls) ***Attire: Glove, running shoes, light color clothing*** |
British Challenger Soccer Camp ![]() Description: Get lessons from some of the best in the nation! This camp will be conducted by college players from Great Britain. Many soccer drills and learning activities appropriate for beginner, intermediate, and advance players. Ages: 3-13 |
Wide World of Sports ![]() Description: This special event offers and environment to celebrate the young athletes that participated in the parks and recreation basketball, soccer, and football programs. Athletes not only will be acknowledged but will also participate in such competition as: punt, pass and kick, free throw, softball throw, and soccer challenge events. Come and enjoy and evening of fun and recognition. Athletes are asked to wear a sports jersey. Ages: 4-17 |
Punt, Pass, Kick ![]() Description: PP&K offers separate competition for boys and girls with winners being selected out of each group based on total distance of their punts, passes, and kicks. A participant's final score is the combined total of the three events (Punt, Pass, and Kick).

After School Tennis for Kids ![]() Description: Need a little recreation after school? This is the perfect way to conclude your day; be inspired at the tennis courts and learn to play and enjoy tennis in the not so hot weather. Rappahannock River Enrichment Soccer Clinic (R.R.E.S.C.) ![]() Description: A fantastic first soccer experience for young children! It is a fun introduction to the sport through a series of exciting, stimulating soccer games in a safe, enjoyable environment. Holiday Hot Shot Basketball Tournament for Adults

Participants will be paired up by drawing and play a tournament style competition with a 1 in a half minute running clock. Youth Basketball Instructional Camps
Description: Camps are designed to teach rules and basic fundamentals through team and individual drills as well as scrimmages. All levels stress teamwork, sportsmanship and fun. The camp will focus on shooting, dribbling and basic defenses, offenses, and comprehension of the game. Holiday's Hot Shot Basketball (Bracket)

Description: You are invited to participate in the Hot Shot Tournament. Hot Shot is a basketball skills competition that involves shooting baskets from five "hot spots" marked on one half of a basketball court. This competition tests your speed, shooting, dribbling and rebounding ability within a series of one-minute time periods. Trophies will be awarded to 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th place winners.
