Local Shoppers Spend
More at Grocery Stores
Caroline County web voters say they spend more of their local dollars at grocery stores.
In an online poll taken March 2 through March 15 that attracted 146 voters, 49 percent of web voters said grocery stores are where they spend the most money in Caroline County. Gasoline and convenience stores finished second at 27 percent, and restaurants received 11 percent.
Rounding out the list were hardware stores at seven percent; pharmacies at five percent; and retail stores, florists, auto repair shops and medical, dental and chiropractic services receiving one percent of the vote.
Visitors to the Caroline County government website, www.visitcaroline.com, are invited to participate in web polls regardless of whether they are Caroline County residents or not. Only one vote per visitor is requested.
