Web Voters Choose Education
As Top Priority for General Assembly
Dealing with issues involving education at all levels is the General Assembly's directive from web voters.
In an online poll taken January 25 through February 8, 34 percent of web voters said managing the issues surrounding education was the most important matter to be addressed by the General Assembly. Addressing to aid local governments received 26 percent of the vote, and managing the State's budget received 17 percent.
Transportation issues garnered nine percent of the web vote, with public safety receiving eight percent and health and social programs receiving six percent.
Visitors to the Caroline County government website, www.visitcaroline.com, are invited to participate in web polls regardless of whether they are Caroline County residents or not. Only one vote per visitor is requested.
