"I just like to draw and create stuff," says eleven-year-old Cierra Copper who just won the Logo Contest for the new Caroline History and Cultural Museum in Bowling Green.
Her award-winning design features the historic Courthouse drawn within a map of Caroline. She had seen both on the Internet and decided to combine them. Her design will be used to create the official logo, said museum board member Bruce Levy.
A Lake Caroline resident, Cierra's a 5th grader at Lewis and Clark Elementary School where her art teacher Ms.Vera Underwood had all 700 of her students create a design. Her students Victoria Alsop and Emily Johnson also won second and third place.
Other finalists were Daija Gahagan, Dalton Whitley, Bill Wojcik, Crystal Tubman, Kierrah Crutchfield,Dustin Gallagher, McKinsey VanGinhoven, Daniel Aragon and Kiana Smith.
Cierra's drawing will be displayed in the museum when it opens, said Levy.
