Entries (no fee) are due by December 4th and may be picked up at Town Hall or downloaded at www.townofbowlinggreen.com Return in person to Bowling Green Town Hall or by mail to Town of Bowling Green P.O. Parade Rules and Guidelines

Check in will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Broaddus and Anderson Ave. The parade will begin promptly at 5 p.m. and will proceed south on Main Street, turning left at Chase street and proceeding to Town Hall. Vehicles for pick up should be located there.

Judges Award-Best Effort

  1. Please maintain the appropriate distance between your unit and the next. Stop in front of the judge’s stand for no more than one minutes.
  2. Parade numbers will be given out right before the start of the parade and must be clearly visible on the right side of the entry. Please make space for this on the sign for your entry.
  3. Sirens are prohibited while lining up and waiting in line.
  4. Walkers must not walk back up the parade route but may use any of the side streets.
  5. Once lined up, motorized vehicles must remain parked and turned off until instructed to move.
  6. Candy may not be thrown from floats or vehicles but may be handed out.
  7. Adults must be on floats with children to supervise at all times.
  8. The parade committee has secured the Claus. Please do not have a Santa or Mrs. Claus on your float
  9. Each unit is responsible for cleaning up the staging area and afterward along the parade route if necessary.
  10. If at any time leading up to the parade day, the weather or street conditions are deemed unsafe, the parade will be cancelled. Information will be available on local radio stations or by calling 804-633-9084 or 633-6212
  11. No alcohol, firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed.
  12. The Town of Bowling Green reserves the right to reject any parade entry if deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
